Role
John’s particular focus is on finance, legal, contracts, manufacturing, buildings, and facilities. He led the property development and facilities project for the Shenley Technical Centre, and in recent years has been closely involved in strategic commercial contracts and transactions.

Experience
After graduation, John worked on control systems for gasoline engines at Ford in the UK and for two years on assignment in Dearborn, Michigan. He then moved into performance and economy optimisation, including engine performance simulation. In 1991, John left for Cosworth Engineering, where he worked on engine development projects before becoming manager of a new powertrain controls function and helping set up a new emissions and climate test facility. By the end of his time at Cosworth, John was responsible for all its engineering functions. John left to co-found Integral Powertrain in 1999.
Outside work
John lives near Towcester with his wife and has a grown up daughter. He holds a pilot’s license and enjoys trips in his Cirrus SR22 light aircraft. He also enjoys playing golf.
