Helix to Showcase Next-Generation Marine Electric Powertrains at Seawork 2026

  • UK electric powertrain manufacturer Helix will exhibit at Seawork 2026 — Europe’s leading commercial marine and workboat exhibition within the British Marine Pavilion at Mayflower Park, Southampton from 9–11 June 2026.
  • Visitors to Booth BMa will have the opportunity to discover Helix’s revolutionary pod drive technology and power-dense electric propulsion solutions as the commercial marine sector accelerates its transition to zero-emission power.

Milton Keynes, UK, 20 May 2026 – Helix (trading name of Integral Powertrain Ltd), a leading developer of high-performance electric motors and inverters, will make its Seawork debut as part of its British Marine membership. The company will occupy Stand BMa in the British Marine Pavilion (Hall 3), exhibiting alongside some of the UK’s most respected marine industry businesses during the 27th edition of the event.

At the stand, visitors will be able to explore the full breadth of the Helix marine electrification offering; from individual high-performance electric motors and inverters designed and manufactured entirely in-house, to fully integrated propulsion solutions developed in partnership with New Eagle, Helix’s sister company within the Middleground Group. Together, Helix and New Eagle offer operators and vessel builders a complete, cohesive electrification package spanning power electronics, propulsion management, shore charging and energy co-ordination.

Central to Helix’s Seawork showcase will be the company’s revolutionary pod drive technology; a compact, highly efficient propulsion system engineered to deliver exceptional power density in a marine environment. Alongside the pod drive, Helix will present its broader range of electric motors and inverters for commercial marine, workboat and offshore applications, demonstrating the performance, reliability and integration capability that has established Helix as a leading sovereign UK manufacturer in the marine electrification space.

“Seawork brings together the most important decision-makers in the commercial marine sector — operators, builders, engineers and fleet managers who are actively working through the electrification challenge.” said James Edwards, Chief Engineer Marine, Helix. “We are delighted to be exhibiting as part of the British Marine Pavilion and look forward to demonstrating how Helix’s in-house design and manufacturing capability can support the industry’s transition to cleaner, more efficient propulsion.”

Now in its 27th year, Seawork is Europe’s largest on-water commercial marine and workboat exhibition, attracting over 7,800 visitors from more than 60 countries alongside 450+ exhibitors and 70+ vessels on live display at Mayflower Park. The event serves as the principal meeting point for the commercial marine, workboat and marine civils sectors, with 91% of visitors involved in purchasing or procurement decisions — making it one of the most commercially targeted platforms available to the marine electrification industry.

Beyond the exhibition floor, Seawork 2026 will host more than 25 specialist conference sessions addressing the themes shaping the sector’s future, including decarbonisation, autonomous vessels, offshore energy and propulsion technology. The event also incorporates the Speed@Seawork programme, delivered in partnership with the Society of Marine Industries, providing a dedicated forum for defence and specialist sector delegates that includes sea trials and presentations from Ministry of Defence procurement personnel.

Exhibiting within the British Marine Pavilion reflects Helix’s membership of British Marine, the trade association representing the UK leisure, superyacht and small commercial marine industry. The Pavilion positions Helix alongside the UK’s leading marine industry businesses, reinforcing the company’s credentials as a sovereign manufacturer committed to supporting UK industrial capability and the long-term competitiveness of the British marine sector.

“The British Marine Hub at Seawork provides a superb showcase for UK innovation in the marine sector. We are delighted to welcome Helix to the Pavilion and look forward to seeing their advanced electric propulsion technology on display at this year’s event.”

The event takes place from 9 to 11 June 2026 at Mayflower Park, Southampton. Trade visitors can register at seawork.com. To arrange a meeting in advance with the Helix Team. contact Helix
