- MiddleGround Capital portfolio companies to present integrated electric drivetrain solutions at North America’s largest fleet technology event
Milton Keynes, UK / Ann Arbor, MI, [1 May 2026], – Helix (trading name of Integral Powertrain Ltd), a leading developer of high-performance electric motors and inverters, and New Eagle, a specialist in embedded controls and software-defined vehicle systems, today announced their joint attendance at ACT Expo 2026. The event takes place 4–7 May at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevada. Both companies will be present at booth #3205.
Now in its 16th year, ACT Expo is the largest fleet technology event in North America, bringing together more than 12,000 industry stakeholders across four days to explore zero-emission vehicles, advanced powertrains, AI-enabled fleet management, and decarbonisation strategies. The 2026 edition features more than 275 speakers, 500+ exhibitors, and over 200 advanced vehicles on the show floor.
Helix and New Eagle – both part of the MiddleGround Capital portfolio – will attend as part of a coordinated effort to bring integrated electric drivetrain solutions to the commercial fleet and transportation sector. Helix contributes high-efficiency electric motors and inverters operating across a scalable power range from 150kW to 2MW, while New Eagle provides the embedded controls engineering and software architecture that enables deployment at scale in demanding real-world applications.
ACT Expo marks New Eagle’s first major industry appearance following its acquisition of Pi Innovo. At booth #3205, New Eagle will present a unified portfolio spanning Raptor® software, OpenECU™ hardware, and integrated engineering services — demonstrating how OEMs can accelerate development across electrified, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicle programmes.
The partnership reflects a growing demand within the commercial fleet sector for complete, system-level electrification solutions – from motor and inverter through to vehicle control software – that can reduce integration complexity, cut total cost of ownership, and accelerate route to production.
“ACT Expo is the definitive gathering for anyone serious about decarbonising commercial transport,” said Stuart Jaycocks, Head of Marketing, Helix. “Being there alongside New Eagle reflects exactly how we’re approaching this market – not as a component supplier, but as a partner capable of delivering the complete electric drivetrain solution fleet operators and OEMs need to make electrification work in practice.”
“ACT Expo marks a major milestone for New Eagle as we bring together our expanded portfolio into a single, unified platform,” said Kevin Alley, Chief Commercial Officer, New Eagle. “By combining Raptor and OpenECU, we’re expanding what customers can build and how quickly they can bring it to market — across development, integration, and production.”
Visitors to booth #3205 can meet the Helix and New Eagle teams to discuss specific programme requirements, electrification roadmaps, and how the two companies’ combined capabilities can support commercial vehicle development programmes.
